Meet us

Paraxenon [παράξεν|ο] means ‘strange’ in Greek. At the same time, ‘paraxenon’ from the Greek words ‘para’ and ‘xenon’, can be translated as ’next to the stranger’.

The Ensemble ParaΞenon was founded in 2022 by the German singer Theresa Stenzel and the Greek composer Konstantinos Margaris as a cooperation project between Frankfurt/DE and Athens/GR.

The ensemble develops Transcultural Musical Storytelling – an art form that combines storytelling, traditional with newly composed music, and performing arts.

Thematically in tune with the times and always with an international cast, the ensemble ParaΞenon uses aesthetic means to strengthen tolerance and the peaceful coexistence of different cultures.
