What is home?-Workshop

What is home?-Workshop

‘What is home?’ is a three-hour workshop in which the participants explore the topic of home through music, creative writing and storytelling.

In the first workshop unit, singer Theresa Stenzel introduces the question ‘Can music be home?’ and invites the participants to sing, move and make music themselves.

In the second unit, the participants work together with the author Leon Joskowitz with the question ‘Can language be home? and write their own texts on the subject.

The last unit is led by Theresa Stenzel and Leon Joskowitz. Together with the workshop leaders, the participants will bring their own texts into performances, which are then presented within the workshop group.

No prior knowledge is required. The workshops develop from the interests and abilities of the participants.

Workshop duration: 3-4 hours / by arrangement

The workshop was first held in October 2024 with young people with refugee experience in Frankfurt. It is part of the production Džemila and Jehuda Bel Air.
